Each year Gdynia Design Centre organize many exhibitions, workshops and meetings dedicated not only to profesionals from design and business sector, but also to inhabitats and tourist. In 2016 theme of the Gdynia Design Days festival refered to the history of Gdynia (Poland), which celebrates its 90th anniversary. In 1926 was made a decision to build the port of Gdynia since Poland regained access to the sea. GDD 2016 would like to retrieve the link with the sea, not the geographic yet the mental, emotional one. Gdynia and its surrounding area both have a history which is sometimes forgotten or underestimated.
