In a collaborative project between the Muthesius Academy of Arts and the Fraunhofer-Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT, more than 100 students tasked themselves making this topic visible by art and design. Invisible documents the 16 best and award-winning projects. The publication itself plays with materiality and effects. A blind embossed index on the spine and cover of the book reflects the invisibility of microelectronics. The switch from black and silver paper reminds of the raw material silicon, base of any microelectronics.
