Besides the school, a business incubator for recent graduates is meant to become a link between academia and workplace.  The industrial surroundings serve as in inspiration for the School, which is a physical materialization of the mechanical metaphor of a ‘tank”  and a ‘crank’. The area of intervention is located 7km from Basel, on the right bank of the Rhine. It belongs to the german municipality of Grenzach-Wyhlen. The river itself is the border between Germany and Switzerland.
